  • He was great in Charlotte at the beginning. He gave everything until everyone turned on him. The issue was him defaulting into the second option role after a strong season, a big contract (2016 was crazy), and Al Jefferson regressing.

    I think the fan reactions had to have worn him down and that’s understandable. Nobody can blame him for taking the money, but the front office set him up to fail. He should’ve been a starter, but the fourth scoring option and secondary playmaker.

    It’s like signing Dillon Brooks to a 4 year/$130 million contract and asking him to be your second option. He could be great within his suited role, but that’s not him.
