Orient Bambino has a gold version. The dial isn’t gold, but it’s still quite nice imo.

I think because it takes away from the symmetry of the dial and might kinda stand out. It really shouldn’t be that big of a deal though, imo. I definitely wouldn’t be disappointed if someone bought me a watch with a date on it- there are many more aesthetic appeals that are more important.
Once I have the collection I want, my fashion will have a dramatic change. I think I’ll be consistently shocking people with how good I look.
Good taste overall.
Liking watches, first and foremost, is an expression of style. It’s a way for people to express themselves and come off as stylish as a result. What movement it has also contributes to it’s aesthetic appeal.
The only thing after looks is what materials the watch is made of. In general, people want their valuables to be made from valuable materials. It should not be cheap (breakable) and having it made out of rare materials is a great way for a consumer to express their own pride in their accomplishments- because they prove they capable of affording such a valuable and rare item.
Here is my take: at the end of the day, a watch is about it’s looks and adding a sense of style to your outfit. Automatic watches are nice, but not all nice looking quartz watches have to option for an automatic version. Also, automatic watches are more expensive AND can run into other problems.
I’d say, try out some watches where you like the looks of them first, and then see if you want an automatic down the line. It IS a commitment.
