He’s mostly been okay, kind of regressed on D since his rookie season. I wouldn’t see him as a plus defender at this time based on eye test and numbers that I checked a little while ago

I mean GOAT Convo is pushing it by a lot when looking at the achievements of guys like MJ, LeBron, Bird, Magic, Duncan, O’Neal etc. That doesn’t mean he can’t get there but he’d need a few more chips

I think what he means is that lots of player fans retort to whining about Wemby in order to make Chet standout. It’s like they can’t enjoy 2 outstanding rookies, one has to be bad and the other has to be incredible

First game people really went at him at the rim, 8 blocks. Only reason he doesn’t average 4 bpg is that many teams avoid him all night long

Not comparable, they’re asked to do many different things. The diet of offense of Chet and Vic are much different, with Wemby creating much more while Chet is more like a piece of the offense.

On defense Wemby roams while Chet is at 5. People already don’t challenge Wemby on defense, I’d give him a much greater impact on that end than Chet.

Both are great, gonna be greater and it’s gonna be fun, but situations are too different to say one player is ahead of the other.
