My grandmas doctor just straight up said that killing yourself is a sin and its against his religion to help her commit a sin when she asked to go on hospice.

Not just allowed, actively pushed to do so.

The doctor she goes to did it, just decided that it was against his religion for her to decide to go on hospice care.

Even if he would allow it, in order for her to get on hospice, her doctor would have to go in front of an ethics committee and argue for her to be allowed to go on hospice. If anyone on the ethics committee objects, she isn’t allowed.

California has a right-to-die law (one of very few states that does). You are allowed to die if your doctor can prove that your disease will kill you in 6 months, that you are coherent (at the time of death, you cant sign anything beforehand for it), if you are capable of taking the suicide pills without assistance.

The doctor has to document that you made two separate distinct verbal requests, 48 hours apart. Has to document that your disease will kill you in 6 months, has to document that you are able to take the pills on your own with no assistance (too weak to die? too bad). The case is automatically reviewed (and they will try to take away the doctors license every time).

And anyone involved is allowed to stop you if they object on any grounds.

Killing yourself is a sin in most versions of Christianity, so its effectively illegal in most of the country, and any doctor that is willing to let you has to really really work to not get their license taken and them thrown in jail.

Unfortunately, a lot of people arent.

Due largely to religious bullshit (at least in america), its very very difficult to get death with dignity. My grandma has parkinsons, she wants to go on hospice before it takes her brain, but her doctor is Catholic and decided its against his religion to let her die as she wants to.

Shes trying to find a doctor who will let her, but its very very difficult. Its still considered murder in most of the country, and even most Hospice doctors wont do anything besides not resuscitate. We have to be careful to not call an ambulance for her, because if she goes to a hospital, the doctor is allowed to just ignore her DNR if thats against their religion.

Could you tell me what I did wrong?

1. The whole “Biden was senile” or “Biden was a puppet” thing was pure Nazi propaganda, Biden was old, and physically frail, but the idea that he was mentally lost during his presidency was just pushed by fox news and other Nazi “news” sources, there is no credible evidence to suggest otherwise.

He stepped down because he was not a particularly popular president, and because people are dumb enough to believe the Nazis when they say something.

2. Attempting to pretend like Biden and Trump are even remotely similar is just Nazi propaganda, but this time with an “enlightened centrist” slant.

Our last two presidents have been barely functional, dementia-riddled puppets AT BEST.

Who is assaulting people associated with the SPLC again?

The federal government, who have demonstrated that they are downright eager to harrass, assault and/or execute anybody who isnt particularly fond of Nazis the KKK or christofascists in general (or anybody who embarrasses them in any way).

And the costs associated with litigation are largely attorney’s fees…

The Fed doesnt care about the cost, they can make taxpayers pay for it. They dont care if they win or lose, winning or losing isnt the point (although the courts may be corrupt enough anyways).

The point is that the DOJ now sends a bunch of people to harass and assault anybody associated with the SPLC. Doesnt matter if the DOJ looses, they dont care about that, just dragging the case out to cost the SPLC money.

Hungary, Germany, Spain, Latvia, Bulgaria, Belgium, Finland, Italy, Greece and Poland have had protected Neo-Nazi marches that I know of (in many cases, they stopped counter-protests or in one particular case, have prevented literal holocausts survivors from speaking). Large portions of the middle east are doing the same thing as Russia, but they use Islam instead of Christianity. China has been there for a while.

The only people who think the world is not turning to fascism (that I know), get that from fox news (or other Fascist websites, like X, Breitbart etc), which are well known propaganda mills.

Its basically a diplomacy / wealthy check for countries.

Basically, countries make agreements between themselves that say that a person with a passport from X country does not need a visa to visit Y country. This may be part of a trade agreement, part of a treaty, part of some larger agreement (For example, EU passports are good for any EU country because they are all part of the EU, thats included as part of countries being in the EU, not as part of an individual agreement.

So a country that has really good diplomacy might get into a lot of international agreements that let their passport enter countries without a Visa, even if all they do in the treaty is be a mediator for it. Switzerland is perhaps the most famous for this. Its not uncommon for Switzerland to be the neutral location where international treaties are negotiated, and in order to facilitate that, they get their passport to be accepted basically anywhere that wants access to those talks. So if Canada wants to be allowed into the Switzerland political arena (and they do) they need to make an agreement with Switzerland to let people visit without Visas.

The other side is money. Tourists from wealthy countries tend to spend a lot of money while on vacation, and so other countries generally want to provide access for those tourists to enter the country and spend all that money. So a country that has a relatively large wealth for individual peoples will often have a strong passport. Singapore does this really well, the Singapore passport is very very strong, largely because Singaporeans tend to have a lot of money to spend.

The third side is also money, but its more on the very wealthy / business side of money. Basically, everyone wants to sell to certain countries, with America being the poster child for this. Americans are famous for buying shitty quality goods at super expensive prices, and every country wants in on that. In order to facilitate that kind of trade, you need mid level executives / logistics people / ships etc to be able to go back and forth without needing to stop for visas all the time. So countries are happy to have Americans come into the country without a Visa, because they want some of those people to be importers.

None of these are on their own ofc. Relatively wealthy countries tend to also have a lot of diplomatic contact, and that means they often include visiting without a visa, even if they are not politically neutral. Several politically neutral countries have strong visas because they are Tax havens, and the very wealthy who use those countries to not pay taxes want to be able to travel freely.

Some countries are mass exporters, and the companies they export to want to be able to travel to that country, so they push the governments to make Visa agreements so they can more easily gain access to the low cost stuff from those countries to sell.

Its less about how thick the skin is and more about the normal conditions the legs are in, and how resistant those legs are. Seabird legs are going to be adapted for a higher ph than humans, and probably be more resistant to a high ph than people, but a ph of 13 or 13.5 is dangerous to any living animal, except perhaps an extremophile

Sure, recently mixed concrete is basically just wet powder with sand and gravel. The powder will absolutely stick. Hypothetically, if the bird then flies around long enough for it to dry, the bird will probably get itchy feet, but the concrete will dry and flake away fairly quickly.
