  • I imagine the majority of both fans will say no to a straight swap and that makes complete sense.

Spurs front office obviously says no. I think Chet is better for the thunder in terms of competing this season and next as well but I do think the front office would give Chet for wemby if they weren’t concerned about chemistry or optics. Chet is really good and fits the thunder’s roster so well that I think it would be a tough decision but if we are being realistic there are very few players with more value than wemby and okc is early enough into their window to go for the potential.

This is zero slight to Chet who’s been the most impressive “rookie” in a while and is absolutely a legit shooter, defender, and a super high iq player.

  • He’s shooting 37.5% on pull 1.9 pull up 3s per game and 24% on 3.9 catch and shoot 3s per game. He’s also shooting 35% percent on wide open threes, 30% on open threes, and 17% on tightly covered threes. He seems to rush his shot at times but when he gets it off in rhythm like on his 1 dribble pull ups he’s been quite good.

I would expect him to become a league average shooter on good volume for a big because of his ft rate and solid mechanics. I also think the potential to be an elite shooter is there but wouldn’t expect that rn.

  • start SGA, bench Hali, cut Brunson

But it’s a lot closer than people think. I got sga over hali because of defense. Sga isn’t a better finisher(has never finished at the rim better than hali, but does have more volume there.), doesn’t space the floor as well, and isn’t as good of a playmaker. I think hali would fit in to a lot more teams. Would still take sga without added context because of defense and he’s proved he can maintain decent efficiency at volume.
