Do you disagree concerning what would motivate you or the average person in the world? I’m answering based on the latter.

Unironically yes, I do believe that. Space exploration is a worthy endeavor in and of itself and takes up a fraction of the budget.
It doesn’t reward it anymore than even local government control over resources. You act like nobody has ever tried to get out of a speeding ticket or fake their way to impress their lead.
The most likely scenario is an action that causes the majority of the military to rebel such as what happened in Syria. That’s partially why the military swears an oath to the Constitution and not the standing government.
For that to happen you need an inciting incident that is at least perceived to be against the Constitution by the majority of the military including a significant portion of the top brass.
We almost got there with all the January 6th shenanigans but the inciting incident involved the military sitting down and not listening to the Executive branch’s unethical orders.
Most people get confused because inflation is already accounted for in most reported numbers.
That is categorically false and it’s dishonest to suggest so.
GDP is at the highest rate in years. We are at full employment. Participation rate is the highest it’s been in 50 years. Wages outpaced inflation while inflation was crazy high helping debtors and the working class at the same time.
Your ideology blinds you.
They absolutely do and they place no limitations on themselves.
They literally have the government platform in Gaza and are for some reason believed at face value despite being more wrong than right. They are also amplified by multiple Arab states and their state run news organizations.
The issue is not censorship, it’s disinformation and Hamas is all over it when allowed.
You can highly doubt all you want but go do some research on current consumer behavior after you are done doubting.
Misinformation and disinformation make strange bedfellows. Hamas is a terrorist organization and has an absolute provable track record for creating and applying both. What makes you think anything they say is any more accurate in this current conflict than it has been before?

The single most historically aware yet still funny to the unaware joke that the Simpsons ever put out.
We can’t be having logic and organization here.
It’s to prevent people from running away instead of going to trial. If you have nothing, no small amount of money will keep you from running. The assumption is that you are getting someone else to post it for you. They are then the ones that keep you in line so they get their money back.
Absolutely none of this applies to this case though. $200,000 is not going to keep President Trump from skipping off to Russia.
I’m aware, it’s why I inherently don’t trust them. They are anticompetitive to a fault. It is unethical no matter what code of ethics you go by and I vote with my wallet.
I would prefer my phones to work well with other phones. If your phone requires that everyone else buy the same overpriced phone, it is not a better device. Anyone can make something that talks well with itself.
If the app was literally called “CCP Government Monitor and Sensor Node” would you say the same thing about people being free to use it how they please? At the very least you would recommend any phone with it installed be banned from any government location or strategic location and people who use it scrutinized. As it currently stands, people don’t believe that’s what it is because they like it.
If you accept what the government is trying to communicate about it, the lines around individual freedom and the freedom to endanger others becomes pretty clear. You have the freedoms to work with explosives but you have no right to take a bomb on a military base. It is the same with data models. Having worked in machine learning and defense, I’m inclined to believe it. I acknowledge that I’m biased here but take my opinion for what it’s worth.
They could use unmitigated microphone access to develop an exact profile on what would get you to spy for them and betray the country and to what extent. Location based models from minute gps data which can predict exactly where you are to maximize attacks on infrastructure. 3d models of the inside of every federal building and us military bases from direct camera access.
Combining models can create increasing impacts with automation and cyber capabilities.
An individual example would be automatic ai generation of images of your family being threatened sent to you while you are at work. All they are asking you to do is go and flush the toilet.
Everyone does that at the same time and overwhelms the sewage system creating a manufactured infrastructure crisis in Arlington VA around the Pentagon. This multiplied by a hundred issues all at once as they invade Taiwan.
This is the type of attack that’s only possible with direct access to literally all the data that the little sensor node that is your phone can provide over time. It doesn’t include the types of profiling that they could do with your political inclinations to magnify any discontent with the world around you at the most inconvenient time for the government. It also doesn’t include the possibility that you might be a decision maker for government contracts someday or a politician influencing policy towards China.
Ever done anything wrong and still had your phone powered on that could possibly be used against you? Are you sure? What if they have enough image data to make a video that looks just like you doing something against your loved ones that they also have profiles on?
That’s literally the definition of economic fascism. Private corporations that are subservient to a one party state. The efficiencies of capitalism directed towards the will of the people.
I think it’s important that people understand the core argument behind fascism because if you do not counter it, you allow it to spread. Sometimes not by name but in form.
It’s also my core argument against any non liberal radicalism but that’s not a popular view on this platform for some reason.
