I feel like Jayz can be ranty too, but he’s got a little better attitude about things. And Hardware Unboxed reports on stuff as well, but doesn’t feel as ranty to me. Again, just for me personally, his vibe brings me down too much and I got a lot going on, y’know? I can only control what I can control, and all that.

I too wish we could move past the debate about whether humans are causing climate change or not (we are). But there’s still debate to be had. “What’s the best path forward?”, for example.

The only thing they share in common is the IP, which really doesn’t have anything to do with Linux compatibility, so it’s just a strange way to frame it.

I think we’re just reading the same comment very different ways. Nothing you’re saying is wrong, I just think you’re leaving out the framing of the comment, which is what snarky guy picked up on.

They are being unnecessarily snarky, but you’re not quite capturing the full picture either. The original comment places heavy emphasis on an expectation that an IP should have similar standards across games, devs, genres, and publishers.

While that might be nice, I can’t really think of a large IP that can claim that really. Any IP large enough is going to have its flops.

It’s fine and even understandable to be disappointed, that just seems like a strange angle to approach it from.

Not tower defense, but I’ve been a long time fan of a super simple game caked Landrule. It’s literally just Risk, but it’s super simplified graphics means it can run on a potato, and the visual information is super easy to digest. It has a ton of speed options so when your comfortable with it, you can crank it up and play an entire game against 5 computer opponents or more in 5 minutes. And, best of all, a tooooon of maps so you can mix it up and keep it fresh.

The point I was referring to was that physical media is dead/not important any more.

Mate, I’m a PC gamer as well, so you’re preaching to the choir. I just don’t really get how Sony saying they are stopping physical game production because gamers don’t need it, then responding to that by… getting rid of your physical games makes any sense.

I mean, doesn’t this kind of prove Sony’s point though?

I personally won’t be cutting off my nose to spite my face. You can take my disc edition console and the physical games I have from my cold dead hands.

Well, very much against the grain of comments here so far, I’m going to say I loved it and recommend it. Performance was rough, but has improved. It’s still not where I’d like it to be, but it doesn’t impact my enjoyment of the game.

A lot of awesome improvements. Love the new monsters. Maps were very fun to explore. I like this open world esque style of Monster Hunter more than the traditional ones, for what it’s worth.

I’ve played Tri, Gen, 4U, World, Rise, and Wilds and I think Wilds is my favourite of them all. Really excited for the expansion.
