A big part of what separates great playcallers from the rest is how they tie multiple plays together and figuring out the right situation to call which play.

Staffords playoff run in 2021 was head and shoulders better than any of Goffs playoff performances.
Goff has improved a lot now no question. He’s played like a top 10 at times top 5 QB. Let’s see how it goes in the postseason.
I’m not going to talk about the top 5 or top 10 stuff, but anyone would easily prefer to have Lawrence over Wilson. Wilson was over 30 and was on the decline with an awful contract that Denver lost a lot of assets for too. Lawrence had a big playoff win and showed improvement. People also wrote off Lawrence as a bust even halfway through last yr until he figured it out.
The difference in treatment has a lot to do with the fact that one of the players is older and had a massive drop off from his usual play and was trending downward while the other got better and had a playoff comeback win.
He’s been really bad this yr but he was a competent QB when he joined the 9ers and injuries sapped a lot of it away. Last season he was playing clean football and made throws for us he had never made before. Apparently there were talks of extending him short term until his foot got destroyed vs Miami.
Now he’s just a broken shell of himself.
He looks really good and energetic for 70. Idk what his routine is but it works.
He seems like a cool guy
I just don’t see any tools Pickett has that’ll make him a viable starter. His mechanics are sloppy and his arm isn’t nearly strong enough to make up for that.
