They all work very well with the Linux Surface Kernel. Just make sure the model you prefer is listed. My Surface Laptop 4 with Debian is running just fine, but you can choose almost any distribution.

Edit: I’m just playing devils advocat. I know it is no solution to all our problems and I hate cumulation of wealth in the hands of a few. But thats the world we live in and I just try to find a silver lining.

I believe it’s peer pressure once you have that kind of money. They are so far from reality they just don’t think about it. All their cocaine-buddies ramble about how they “deserve it” to throw money out of the window, they worked so hard yadda-yadda.

It’s bonkers. But I also never had that kind of money. Maybe we would all do the same thing?

Bazzite is awesome. Installed it yesterday, first “distro” that just works with everything out of the box, including Logitech Keyboard/Mouse and fan control. Had to switch to X11 with dual monitor setup and nvidia, but anything else is just smooth. No tinkering, no going back because that one programm doesn’t work properly. Love it!

But did you talk about it with a medical trained person ? In the end its just a damaged nerve in your neck or sonething that can be easily fixed with proper care.

You can’t upload pictures and the web interface stopped working weeks ago. You can only make text posts via apps. Why would anyone make a post on that instance?

Except the communities created on that instances all suffer. There were some popular ommunities on feddit.de that are now wastelands.

It’s a flaw in the fediverse concept. Federation is great, but if you have a big server run by a freelance admin who decides to take some time off without notifying anyone people will search for a more reliable solution. Or just go back to reddit.

There is also a problem with feddit.de for a couple of months now, one of the bigger instances on the fediverse. People are leaving, some are opening accounts on other servers. That didn’t help at all…

I bought it at the time without realising you need an internet connection. Good times…

I’m using e/OS - the operating system with the most annoying name - for ~5 years now with my Fairphones. Banking works, App Lounge is anonymous and it syncs everything with my Nextcloud. I really like it.
