I find that most seeds sprout well without a heat mat, but for peppers especially I bought one last year and I’m really glad I have one now. I use it for all seeds that like it warm and my sourdough starter. No problems with germination that way anymore.

And CATL unlike BYD in some cases usually does not overmarket their innovations.
Sodium ion battery instead of lead acid starter for commerical vehicles. Lead acid batteries are currently a huge chunk of the global battery market, if CATL cracks that one as well… oh boy.
175wh per kg sodium battery for passenger cars is not too far behind LFP density, so not bad at all. Another improvement for sodium ion cells.
And then the dual battery, that is an interesting one. I read in another article that they exceeded 1000 wh per liter, that is a statement. CATL have said before that they want to go into the aircraft business and partnered with COMAC. Will be interesting how this all develops, and if cars will use it. I can definitely see it in chinese luxury cars.

Snap peas and radish are almost ready to go outside, my peppers and tomatoes seedlings are starting to grow. I’m looking forward to the season!

obazdaa@feddit.orgOPto Gardening@lemmy.world•It's finally time after months of waiting! 🍅English71·2 months agoI just pluck them out with a small spoon or a chopstick while they are still pretty small. It works well, I did this for some years already.
But if you wait too long the roots get bigger and tangled, so it’s a bit more effort because I usually transplant early into a small pot and then repot them later into a bigger pot. I try to save space while growing from seed because our last potential frost date is mid may and there’s not so much space on our south windowsills where I put all my seedlings. So it does get crowded with fennel, zucchini, peppers/chilis and the tomatoes.

There will be a special action price lowering the price of the cheapest trim level to less than 20000€. Ends in June. I think the car is interesting, the range is very low but I believe there will be more buyers than some people expect. The VW e-up used to be quite popular too, not sure what the range was on that car
