I’d ask to see a picture of it on a timegrapher. If it looks good on a timegrapher, it’s an OK deal. It’s such a specialty item that the quality of the refurbishment is 80% of the price. It’s hard to find one of those in such great shape.

That’s one of my favorite watches of all time. The hands and the shiny numerals are what makes it attractive to me, anyway.
It looks way better than Amphibias with the usual metal bezel.
I wondered if the original was 43mm, because that seemed really big for a very old looking watch (it was actually made in the 1940’s). So it wasn’t just a little smaller, it was a lot smaller:
31.5mm.

Sorry, didn’t answer the question. Whether it pre- or post Soviet Union, it’s the same watch. Nothing changed. The factory workers sold shares in the factory to keep it alive and kept manufacturing the watches after the state stopped funding them.
Tank watches looked sharp 80 years ago and they’ll look sharp 80 years from now. It’s my favorite style.
It’s a classic! I would get a gray suede strap for it.
They’re kind of expensive for a Miyota 8215 with an acrylic crystal; on the other hand, nothing else looks like it and it I do love that retro look.
By the way, if you get a scratch on the crystal, you can rub it with toothpaste on a piece of cloth and the scratches magically disappear.

Casio gave accurate and affordable timekeeping to the whole world! You can get a bad quality Swiss watch, but it’s hard to find a bad quality Casio.
