Farthest i’ve gone is London to Berlin - but I had a few days in a few other cities on the way . . . so maybe that doesn’t count.
More normally 2-3 hours so I can go after work and be back in bed by say 1-2 a.m. Sometimes i’d stay over in a hostel and get the first train back - but same distance really.
got to keep the family safe.

yes, I think the main thing is when the nonfree firmware was included (user can opt-out) as a default at install. So out of the box support for most common hardware became way better.
It was always pretty easy to add nonfree repositories, but having to manually sort out wifi firmware after an install was a pain.
You can add them as non-steam games - via steam in desktop mode.
Others have mentioned various tools or launchers that make it easier. I didn’t like any of those tools though so I just add the games manually - i only have a 4-5 on there at a a time and i dont get through games very fast.
risc-V laptops might compete with arm in a few years - maybe not for power users, but for most simpl use , or for those who will just ssh into real computer.

oh man that’s crazy. I always thought it was short for Gwendolyn.
I think you might be missing the part where memes are not real. aur is useful. arch wiki is useful.
Just install it from AUR.
going to surpass ‘unknown’ any year now. it’s happening.
The best antivirus program to run on a windows system is “fdisk” .

Sounds like upside-up for the finance company. i can see why they might not be a fan of improving mass transit options and alternatives.
I love programs like freecad despite the really hard/unintuitive gui. 95% of all the modelling i need to do (as an amateur) can be done easily in a python script.
The finishing touches like adding filets and chamfers are the annoying part were gui is easier, due to the way edges are referenced.
Likewise at work, we have to produce a lot of regular reports in excel. All done via python / sql.
you can’t easily or directly compare the monetary value of violent vs non-violent crime. Robbery is not about the money from a severity perspective. Any robbery will be much more heavily punished than a theft of the same monetary value due to the violence or threat of violence agaist the person or people.
If you stick a gun in someones face and ask them for one cent, you still should be going to jail for a decent amount of time - way more than shoplifting a 500 dollar tv.
15 years does seem a lot though, you might have expected them to at least wave the weapon around, or put it direct to someones head, or put a knife to the throat - that doesn’t seem to be the case here. but if it were less than 5 , I’d think they’d got off lightly for robbery.
The homeless guy should have shoplifted food from grocery store - not gone and threatened someones life.
This thing (albeit fron New York) allows a “parking lane”, tobe the barrier I’s really hard to ttellif that is the case here; how fast was that thing going on a narrow residential street to do that much damage?
