I don’t think OP is talking about the 10 second countdown. Most of the delay is waiting for players to get lined up.
Sometimes it takes a full minute of real time for a player to shoot two free throws.
OP you were just a couple days too early with this
We all know Harden as the original blogboi player, a player that analytic enthusiasts claimed would be a superstar
Do we? I don’t remember that level of hype around Harden as a rookie.
And I don’t remember a big community of people doing serious analytics at that time. It was Hollinger and maybe a handful of others.
It’s kind of a shame LeBron has to spend these last years playing on this jerkoff Laker team with a bunch of stiffs.
Boston should’ve kept Grant Williams and let Jaylen Brown walk
I wonder if the Amazon/Netflix execs that Silver is trying to get to pay $50 billion for TV rights enjoy watching Chris Paul flop around on the floor.
Drexler doesn’t really have a perfect modern comp. He was a #1 option who couldn’t dribble without looking at the ball.
He used strength, athleticism, timely cuts and slashes to score. He wouldn’t be a #1 option in today’s game but he’d still be a valuable player. He’d be a supercharged 3+D type wing.
I thought this was a Wall Street Bets post for a minute.
“JSJ up 73%”
Remember when The Athletic launched as a premium service that was going to provide more thoughtful, superior quality coverage instead of clickbait and hot takes? Those were heady times.
No the other guy is right. Starts with a 2 and isn’t 20: 25,26,27,28,29.
It’s not implying 200 million.
If Horford makes shots then maybe. None of the teams the Nuggets played in the playoffs had a center who could pull Jokic out to the three-point line on defense. He got to mainly play around the paint and that helped Denver’s defense tremendously.
But Horford’s inconsistent shooting was a big reason they had trouble against Philly and Miami.
Fun fact: It used to have one but they discontinued it because it kept getting awarded to guys coming back from drug rehab.
Has Porzingis or anyone else ever talked about how he virtually never shoots from the corner? He takes nearly all his threes from above the break, to an almost absurd degree. He’s taken ONE corner attempt so far this season.
It’s kind of weird and it holds pretty true throughout his career. Even if it wasn’t his preference, you’d think that just by random chance he’d get one or two corner attempts a game.
Obviously his role is not to be spotting up in the corner all the time like a PJ Tucker, but ideally you’d want him to be able to sometimes do that.
