I was totally expecting this to be about the bad box android streaming devices that china is using to backdoor US critical infrastructure.


I’ve had better luck with running an ftp server on my phone. I don’t know how they screwed up cabled transfers so profoundly badly, but I’ve experienced the same issue generation after generation.


I used to do this for work, repackage installs for automatic deployment. It’s probably not worth your time, but you’ll definitely learn a few things trying.

I’m not conversant enough about it to give you an intelligent answer. I’m only a peripherally involved in supporting the project.
It works by distributing a database across multiple nodes, refreshing node database info automatically as needed. Beyond that is more technical than I’m really prepared to address and I’m not familiar with the technologies you mentioned; it just seems to check the boxes of E2EE, distribution, and privacy that OP seems to need.

I should have placed my comment about veilid here. It might be the right fit for this use case. Look into the protocol and see if you agree.


It may be worth your time to have a chat with the veilid devs about using the veilid protocol to host all the files.
I think qualified leadership is extremely important, but the leaders should be from the ranks of the experienced employees. Id opt for a sorta royal triumvirate kind of setup over the CEO model though. A committe seems too slow to work.
And collectively, they should own the business and vote on big decisions.
