Fixing this. Next version will support animated .webp images. Thanks for reporting.
Blocking instances is a Lemmy feature only available on servers running Lemmy version > 0.19. Lemmy.world has not updated yet, so it won’t work in the beta yet.
What’s the role of an admin? Can they moderate any community?
I wasn’t aware of this, we can consider it a bug.
I believe that’s how Lemmy works, if read posts are filtered, they are filtered everywhere. I agree they should be visible in profiles, at least on your own profile.
Default feed has always been a feature, I’ve just created a setting for easier access 😂
The Lemmy API is close to perfection, the devs did a good job
Yes, I forgot to add that
Can you set your default scroll to All? I was able to make it Hot but it always goes back to Subscribed when I come back to the app.
Go into Settings-General-Subscriptions, tap the three dots on All and select “Set as default”
Have the moderation tools been tested for admin level moderation, or should I tread carefully on that side of things?
Not sure if they work for admins, it hasn’t been tested or implemented
This is a distinguished moderator comment
Gifs embedded in comments or post linking to gifs? Do you have a link to test? Thanks

Boost should save its state to disk and restore in case the app is killed, but it is pretty complicated with an app this complex. Top apps i.e. Instagram don’t do it either.
Yes, that icon. It is a bit difficult to press, due to the small size. I don’t think I can make it bigger since it is rendered by Google that way.
Press the icon on the top right and select report ad or block ad
Did you login again after your instance updated to 0.19? If not, try that. Edit: it seems to happen to more users of that instance https://lemmy.sdf.org/comment/7618675
I believe in Markdown formatting, to insert an empty line you have to introduce two line breaks.
