Much to the chagrin of a large portion of lemmy users Edge is not actually a bad browser. If you’re using a chromium based browser anyway there’s really nothing worse about edge than the other options. Obviously not talking about Firefox here.

That was 10 years ago. The further we get from “the 1900s” the broader the term will become to include the whole century, much like the 1800s is 1800-1899. I imagine in another 10-20 years it will be more and more common to see this shift when referencing past events.
You can’t deny judgment being implied in your statement. It’s very clear how you feel so own it. I will say, however, that shitting on “the kids” or zoomers or whatever is not helpful to anyone. We desperately need to be lifting up future generations so they can help us through the shit. Talking about them in the way you do only serves to keep them “lethargic”.
The 1950s are part of the 1900s… same as 1850 was part of the 1800s. They were just being facetious using “1900s” anyway. That will change as we all get older though, eventually it will just be the 1900s.
That still doesn’t tell me why I should be concerned. Another country having access to good technology doesn’t set off alarm bells for me. I guess I need someone to spell out why them being less reliant on the West for tech is concerning. Especially considering how true the opposite has been (in regards to manufacturing) for ages.
Yeah I have literally zero more information lol I’m in the US and feel like I should be concerned because “China” but I’d love a valid reason beyond “they’re now capable of sustaining they’re own technology”.
Why? I’m not super educated on this matter and can’t find anything clear on why this would be bad
Yep, that’s me too, cis male. My SO will tell you how excited I get when pumpkin spice season starts.
Booo, that wasn’t super clear in the title. My fault. More crap to sift through.
Bold move calling it MAX due to obvious reasons. Can’t imagine many people will opt in anyway.
What’s the best away for be to disable the pictrs directory? Is there a setting to flip in my instance?
I’m a sys admin that uses windows on my personal machine. I’m not trying to do more work on my own time.
You’re in here a lot with a vaguely apologetic (on lmgs behalf) and victim blaming attitude. Do you work there or some shit?
She should not have needed to push back more nor should anyone need to “push back more” in their job. That’s victim blaming.
Plus one for Porkbun here. DNS management is super easy too. Low prices was a plus too. Got a “.sh” for half of what everyone else I found has them for.
Truly. It’s heartfelt and heavy. I’ve never considered it to be a comedy. Even Shameless which is admittedly “funnier” is still tough to call a comedy. I only mention it due to the similar vibes and of course shared actor.
The funniest thing about The Bear s2 was all of the Community Easter eggs lol
But it seems like in general white conservatives are at the extreme bottom in most scenarios… they’re just also blinded by the “it’s just not my turn to be rich yet” fallacy.
That was a royal “you” in direct response to the question in your post. Regardless, the cost of multiplayer on consoles has been a factor since multiplayer started and will continue to be because it’s a guaranteed way for those companies to subsidize the massive overhead that is their server farms.
That’s exactly what I’m trying to say. These services cost actual money and MS historically has had a significantly more reliable online service and a huge reason why is the Live charge. Sony only managed to have a reliable service when they started charging for it. I feel like a lot of people with the sentiment above didn’t play games when online CONSOLE multiplayer was born.
Saw them open for Blink earlier this year, was surprised how good the live show they put on was. I hadn’t heard of them before and they rocked it.
