Civil cases against government officers are however subject to qualified immunity while ones against the government are subject to sovereign immunity.

It seems people really need it spelled out to them: he’s saying protectionism works in the long term but they’re old and will all be dead(a keynes quote “The long run is a misleading guide to current affairs. In the long run we are all dead”). He’s wrong though. Protectionism, which are essentially self sanctions, can develop an industry as much as not. Nothing’s a vacuum.

I agree, though increasing snowpack seems to be the most plausible idea, though still a greatly wasted effort.

Florida doesn’t particularly need cloud seeding(they get plenty of rain and don’t need to increase snowpack on the mountains they don’t have), so it’s kind of a useless exercise. The places that do do it mostly seem to be wasting their time though. The climate change attempts to increase albedo and thus lower temperature are just research exercises at this point.

It sounds like she got a case of Rhabdomyolysis from getting so bruised up. Hard to say how bad it really was. Rare to have that happen with relatively minor blunt trauma but not unheard of.
