What’s he given up on? Not sure he’s tried anything yet…

Generally looking very positive for him at the moment. Way more popular than the outgoing PM. Has since said lots of things other politicians would avoid: Nationalising infrastructure, Fixing Social Care, Rejoining the EU, reforming the electoral system. It’s early days, probably not possible for him to do everything he talks about. Generally a solid social democratic outlook.

I think the first pic is from good street view. The second could well be default settings on whatever the camera model was.
I wandered down there just the other week, probably hadn’t been there since Covid and man, if there was ever a living, breathing reason to pedestrianise central London much as possible, this is it. It is really serene, relaxing and a pleasant spot to be.
It used to be one of those places you’d only walk past if you **had to **.
Superb stuff!
I would like to avoid running anything thru Tailscale.
A quick google turns up plenty of results for providers that claim to offer a fixed IP not hiding behind CGNAT. I like three generally, so maybe they’re the option…
Really? Even with a specific IoT data provider?
Fair point — data only, probably around 200mb a month? Planning to run a simple web server, nothing too heavy.
The bit you’re interested in is in the first paragraph, so save yourself opening the link:
“four telecom companies say they would handle the ground infrastructure while a separate, unannounced satellite partner provides the satellite constellation”
Unannounced, being the operative word here. The whole thing hinges on the satellites. No news here really.
