It’s a concern usually when a guy is clanking FTs along with 3s. He’s nearly 80% on FT, so that’s usually a sign of decent repeatable mechanics. I think you worry more about the shooting trajectory of a rookie like Ausar Thompson although he looks like a very promising player in other aspects of the game.
Does he always stop a step short of the line or was this game different? I laughed at first because the first one was so bad, but when both of the jump balls are off-line in almost the exact same spot it definitely looks kinda sus. It probably wouldn’t be that hard to find the last time this guy threw a jump ball and then compare the clips. Like what did the beginning of the game look like?
It’s a 5 point game with 45 seconds left on the first one. The difference between a 5- point game and a 3-point game with 45 seconds left and without possession is significant. The chances of the Clippers winning was dramatically impacted by that 1st INC. On the second INC, after the missed call the Nuggets are still winning the game and maintain possession of the ball with less than 20 seconds left. The second incorrect call did not dramatically impact the chances of one team winning the game in the same way as the 1st missed call.
Why is this front office allowed to even makes these phone calls? Do they have a history of making good trades, draft picks, and building a winner? Seems like a fairly underreported aspect of the story to this point.
He said they were awful and the report doesn’t say that he was wrong.
00:44.8 Foul: Shooting INC
Comment: Caldwell-Pope (DEN) initiates illegal body contact and steps forward into George’s (LAC) right leg and the contact affects his jump shot attempt.
I don’t know what type of moves the Thunder are looking at to improve the roster, but there are some teams such as the Bulls who could really use a guy like Micic. Like what about Micic, Wiggins, and draft capital for Alex Caruso? There would be some overlap with Wallace and Caruso but it might not be a bad thing.
We need to see Luka and Wemby 1 v 1
Sometimes I Dream. That He Is Me…
Two interesting things about this list that stood out to me. The Kings three-man without Fox is only 1 point shy of the Sixers. Also, the Thunder’s best three-man has a +5.5 net rating but it does not include Shai. The Thunder’s best on this list is Holmgren-Giddey-JDub.
