    What would happen if they chose to strike anyways? It’s not like the labour board can just… replace everybody in any meaningful timeframe

    Why is it that Canada always copies us? First the US govt puts down a rail strike, then Canada does it!

      The difference being that Biden, after ending the strike, actually worked through the federal agencies to get the strikers the deal they’d been looking for (not to mention directing the NLRB to come down so hard on union busting that Amazon, Starbucks and a few others are trying to sue the agency out of existence).

      What’s happening in Canada is actually worse, crazy as that sounds.

      Honestly, I’d love to see the rail workers take a cue from CUPE and just strike anyway.
