Down 2-1 in a five game series vs. the Aces, the Liberty had a huge chance to win a ring after a series of Aces injuries. In a one point loss, Stewart made just 3 of 17 shots from the field. Are there any comparable examples from history?

Dennis Johnson (Sonics) went 0-14 in Game 7 on the 1978 NBA Finals, losing to the Bullets by only 6 points. That’s pretty awful.
The next year he bounced back, Sonics beat the Bullets in the 1979 Finals and DJ was Finals MVP. He played a few seasons in Phoenix after that before finally getting traded to Celtics, and rest is history.
DJ was a warrior, by the way, just looked at his basketball reference. He never played fewer than 72 games in a season, and that was in his second to last year in the league.
DJ is the reason I’m a Suns fan.
Such an under-appreciated player. I know he is a HOF’er but if he hadn’t died so young he would still be coaching or broadcasting and I think more people would know how good he actually was.
and the Celtics robbed the Suns blind on that trade too.
ahhhh, good ol’ Red. sorry 928 haha
