I am new to watch winders and just purchased a wolf cub, however I have noticed these sporadic jerky movements in the rotation that I have filmed In slow motion, I have very limited knowledge about this so I was hoping someone could help me out and let me know what is causing it and if it is detrimental to my watch, thanks in advance:)

BLOT: ditch the winder but you’ll probably be fine

Winders are useful for perpetual calendars but this is a YM, the only mildly annoying part to set is the date and it’s quickset.
I saw an interview where Teddy Baldasarre asked a veteran watch-maker if winders were useful but he said as much - maybe for a perpetual calendar but he doesn’t use winders.
It’s impossible to say really, some people will have a watch constantly running for decades with no issue and some will require an AD overhaul right as the warranty expires - which for a YM is about $1k so nothing to sneeze at.
