Hey, I’m working on a tool to help people migrate away from reddit. It works by mapping interesting (ideally, niche focused) subreddits to the respective Lemmy communities, and then mirroring the content from these subreddits to the Lemmy communities. Each reddit account that participates in the mirrored thread gets a corresponding account on the Lemmy instance, which can then be “taken over” by the reddit user.

The other part of this project is that I am setting up different Lemmy instances around different topics and interests (such as soccer, basketball, web3, blockchain, TV and entertainment…) which can then be used by people to discover things based on their interest.

I’m wondering if you’d be interested in having content from ML-related subreddits mapped to some of the communities here. Every mirrored reddit post and comment will be made by clearly marked bot accounts, but because they are corresponding to the reddit account and pulled in real-time, it seems to work quite well as a way to bootstrap communities and conversations with the people who are already here.

Let me know your thoughts and if you have any questions.
