As much as some might not like it this is Poole’s team. He has the green light even more than Kuzma does. He’s shooting close to 30 shots every game.

Jordan Poole being the best player and #1 option on a young team is a hell of a way to build a disastrous team culture

The Wizards already have a disastrous team culture. Can it get any worse than 2 players bringing guns into the locker room and pointing them at each other? When was the last time they had a record above .500? They have absolutely nothing to lose because they’ve been losing. The went above .500 for 5 seasons straight between 2013-2018. They have a .451 record throughout the history of the team. 30 playoff appearances and 1 championship. Basically been a poverty franchise throughout the entirety of their existence.

      True.

I said this a couple months back but Kuzma and Poole have to combine for 50 every night just for that team to have a chance to win.

Also poor Gallo. He has to play with this sorry ass squad.

I wouldn’t go that far. He’s not making 30 shots per game only shooting that many. He isn’t consistent enough to win the scoring title.

If he gets the usage Beal got 2 years ago it wouldn’t be that ridiculous. 23 attempts per game would get him close, assuming he gets back to his 2020-2022 eFG%

It’s pre-season and Poole isn’t facing focused defensive pressure. He will be a focal point for defenses this year.

Unless he learns how to use his gravity more and has teammates that give him that Curry levels of succ on the enemy team’s defense he aint doing that shit any time soon lol.

There are so many guys far more likely. The winner of the scoring title is usually a star on a playoff team. To get 30 PPG you gotta be a star, it rarely just happens on shit ass teams.

This 100%. You have to go all the way back to '84-'85 to find a season scoring leader from a team that didn’t make the playoffs, when Bernard King led the league in scoring and Knicks finished 24-58.

All of which are HoFers, at first glance anyway. Will Poole become the first scoring titleholder to not be in the HoF? The answer is no. And not because he’ll win a scoring title and reach the HoF lol.

Technically Steph led and didn’t make the playoffs. Though they did have the 8th best record so still the same as all years prior to the play in

I don’t know about scoring title, defenses will be collapsing on him since he will be the focal point of the offense. He did do good against the knicks but we’ll see, it’ll be fun regardless

You smokin crack with that. He will be getting the top defenders now instead of the worst on the court.
