I always struggled with the corner shots because I have less of a spacial reference with the side of the backboard facing me. Shooting from the top of the key should be much easier, no? I always had the most success with the 45 degree angle one, right between the key and the corner. Maybe that’s just me though.
I never hated, but disliked the corners, something about depth perception or something, much prefer wing or at top
Agreed, in high school the distance is the same so it doesn’t matter. If you’re shooting by yourself it takes more energy to practice corner shots because misses can go all over the place so I rarely practiced this. It’s not too much work to get good at them, though, if you can shoot from other spots.
Plus the backboard will never bail you out on a corner 3 unless the ball takes a crazy bounce
There’s this guy in my rec league that banks everything. Corner 3s included
Like kawhi’s shot. I’ve never seen a ball bounce so much before going in.
It was only possible because Kawhi has so much spin on his shot, noticeably more than the average player (strong wrists 💪)
That’s still one of the most exciting plays in the NBA that I’ve ever seen. It’s not the most athletic or skillful but the timing, the crowd, the circumstances… absolutely insane.
I think even winning the championship wasn’t as intense a moment.
I was so fucking excited when we won, but the way that ball dropped in that moment against the Embiid aeroplane. Genuine the most psyched I’ve ever been watching NBA.
