I always struggled with the corner shots because I have less of a spacial reference with the side of the backboard facing me. Shooting from the top of the key should be much easier, no? I always had the most success with the 45 degree angle one, right between the key and the corner. Maybe that’s just me though.
While it is shorter, thats not the reason. Its the hardest place for the D to rotate to.

Why then did shooting % go up when the made the 3pt line shorter in the 90s. The reality is, shorter distance higher %. That pretty clear in the data.
Can you show that wide open 3pt shots from top of key and corner have the same %? Should be easy to look up.
