Just picked up a new Junghans Max Bill chronoscope and it’s running absurdly fast, like more than an hour fast a day. Anything I can do about this or is it back to Germany for this one?

Have you tried demagnetizing it? Can buy a cheap one off Amazon.
Send it back. Absolutely no reason for a new watch to be in that condition.
