Kevin Durant has been heavily criticized for his lack of success outside Golden State. If he leads the Suns to the championship, does he remove the dark cloud of “can’t win without a superteam” over his head?

This is assuming that one believes the 23/24 Phoenix Suns are not a “Superteam”.

Thanks!

Ahhh yes the poverty franchise of the Phoenix Suns with no “Superteam” just KD and a bunch of role players on that team. Devin Booker thats an end of the bench guy, and Bradley Beal should probably flex his McDonalds starter cap a little harder since he gets played off the floor every night. KD cannot win with these cats.

Allegations lol. People say he joined one of the best teams ever, not that he killed a schoolbus of children.

Yes he only has 3 all stars, it’s barely enough talent to qualify as an NBA team

Does Durant beat super team allegations after joining a super team?

Maybe, but is a calling a tautology a tautology a tautology?

The entire NBA history is filled with teams with a ton of star talent. Thats how you win. The obsession with superteams is silly.

The Warriors were fucked because they didn’t even need KD to win and were one of the best teams ever before he even showed up. Its a completely different thing than all of the other examples,

If they win, they are a superteam, if they don’t win, it’s KD’s fault for losing with a superteam. As of now in preseason analysis, Suns are clearly unbalanced and deeply flawed, not a superteam.

    That about covers it

I mean I love shitting on KD as much as everyone else but barring a huge step back from the prior season, I’d put more weight on the Suns not chipping due to having a turnstile at center and a PG by committee

Also even after turning Ayton in to depth pieces, the Suns are still questionably shallow

I mean this sub constantly switches from saying suns are a super team to saying they suck so there’s no set answer
