    It’s a bit strange but professional sport is extremely meritocratic at the player level (coaching and staffing is another matter) so it’s very unlikely that there’s any ill intent here.

    I wish news and companies understood optics better.

    ‘Criticism of all white photo’ comes across as white = bad

    Criticism of lack of diversity comes across as diversity = good

    I thought diversity is something that happens naturally, but apparently, it’s something that needs to be consciously created at all cost. ffs

      No where does anyone mention anything about token players.

      It’s about doing more at grassroots level to get girls from diverse backgrounds involved.
