Seems pricey compared to what I remember the old moonglow being (And turns out they’ve got a new moonglow too which I didn’t realise)

OK now I am finally interested in CW as a brand. That dial is in my opinion, better executed than any other Aventurine dial I have seen, including Lange’s limited edition two-hander, which was one of my favourite dials up until now. Now just have to figure out to get one!

I actually wish for a better movement and open caseback. I’m quite particular about those for what I want but damn, the dial is so cool that it’s really not a big deal not to have those things for me.

Might consider this in the near future.

I’m honestly so glad it doesn’t! To me this isn’t supposed to be that practical - plus I’m used to reading a clock without hour markers

I really love my applied indices so I always miss them when they’re gone. I understand why they made that call to forgo them, but still.

An extraordinary new moonphase watch from Christopher Ward. With a one-of-a-kind aventurine dial that resembles the sparkling night sky. And a luminous, 3D moon 25 percent bigger than on our previous moonphase – and even more accurate in appearance. With power courtesy of Calibre JJ04, our ingenious in-house module that not only follows the movements of the moon perpetually for 128 years but looks beautiful while doing so. Plus, a box-sapphire crystal for improved clarity and a new, 40.5mm Light-catcher™ case that’ll sit comfortably on any wrist.

The moonphase is powered by CW’s own modular movement, JJ04, which is able to follow the waxing (and waning) of the moon accurately for 128 years. This also allows the watch’s ‘moons’ to chart a continuous, uninterrupted journey across the dial.

This is copied text from Christopher Ward for characters limit. Enjoy :)

Their old moonglow looked great in pics then cheap in person. The aventurine should help avoid that.

Though I would have welcomed some subtle indices. This gives me Movado vibes.

Never heard of the Moser before, took a look and it’s certainly an elegant watch… but holy canoli paying 24k for that!?!?

What are the CW watches like (outside of aesthetics)? I see them advertised a lot in the UK right now, but not sure what their overall build and quality is like.

If it’s half decent, this may be a winner.

If I didn’t know the prices and based on looks alone, I’d take the CW over the Moser any day of the week. The textured moon on the CW looks much better to me, and Moser cheaped out on the moon’s backing, which makes it look really odd without the second adventurine layer.

Oh yeah, I’ve just had a Google of the Moser, that plain backing is quite jarring vs. the rest of the dial. Odd.

I thought so too after seeing this one first, but then I remembered that the dark portion of the moon doesn’t actually disappear/become transparent.

$2475 on the bracelet and $2350 on the strap. Nice aventurine dial and no horrendous logo to ruin it. Not bad! A pretty cool Arnold and Son alternative

What’s with you people and that logo. It’s arguably one of the better ones in this whole industry.

People have different opinions, that’s all. I personally am not a huge fan of the logo, but don’t hate it. It’s just meh for me. Others hate it, you love it, and the world continues to spin, that’s the beauty of our opinions.

I get that, and i understand the meh feeling. But i’ve seen active constant hate and people mentioning it. That part i feel it’s so overblown.

Someone mentioned Minecraft on here once and - although I’ve never played it - I do see it everytime I see the logo now.

I do agree though, it really isn’t that bad at all.

People hated the old logo. They switched to this one, and people didn’t realise it was the old one got a lot of hate, so they thought they were supposed to hate this one. It’s completely nonsensical.

Watch logos are stupid. I think CW is one of the only ones that has actual thought behind it. Is a Crown or a Shield that much better?

People act like illiterate children like you can’t tell time without indices. You can tell time knowing where 12 and 6 are, unless if you had a stroke.
