Mainly talking about young guys here but you can throw in a vet too.

I loved watching Bruce brown with the pacers guy looks like a great fit next haliburton, his passing really helps there offense reach a new level of intensity and his shooting looks like its continuing to get better off the catch.

Also loved what I saw out of derrick lively too, high energy good defense, needs to work on his ft shooting but overall looks like he could be dallas’s starting centre sooner rather then later, kidd really started to trust him down the stretch.

Darko Rajakovic’s system really impressed me today - I thought the “make decisions in half a second when you catch the ball, no excessive dribbling, and swing the ball to the open guy” was just coach speak (because what coach doesn’t preach passing to the open man and being decisive?) but the Raptors offense looks night and day from what it looked last season.

It was very refreshing to watch especially after the last two years. Some of the most boring, disorganized basketball I’ve watched in a while.

Porzingis on the Cs. Dropped 30 and took the game over in the 4th during crunch time

Was impressive for sure but it’s definitely an outlier game, cooled down tremendously the second half

Still a few more season debuts to go, but Duren, Lively, Tillman impressed me amongst the big men a lot, imposed themselves on the game, hustled and ran the floor hard.

As for my Nets obviously Cam Thomas looked great as an individual scorer, but then that’s something I have known since last season when he had 4 40 point games, just annoyed that my coach still refuses to start him or let him play on ball for majority of the time on court. Instead we keep running out Dinshittie who keeps bricking everything. Liked what I saw from Ben as a solid start 4/10/9/1 on just two turnovers isn’t half bad, I don’t care if he doesn’t score, just keep rebounding, assisting and defending.

Loved Okogie and Nurkic on the Suns, Porzingis shocked me because I didn’t expect that defensive impact (Dallas fans did him no justice, nor did Wizards fans). Underwhelmed by Ant and KAT season debuts, but OKC look ready for the leap, especially Shai.

KP had defensive stints with us were he was great, but the injuries kind of affected him being consistent on that end. He’s a beast when healthy and doesn’t have to battle rust.

Even though I am born and raised in Michigan the Orlando Magic are my 2nd favorite team; they are exciting, big, athletic, deep, skilled, versatile, young and talented.

I would highly recommend any neutral or casual fan to tune in and watch them this season as they are going to make a lot of noise in the east this year imo!

I think they are really good especially if Jonathan Isaac continues his development. If he can become a borderline all-star player (he certainly has the talent), Orlando will become a legit contender in the near future.

As a homer: Kira Lewis Jr. and Dyson Daniels.

Around the league? Cade. After missing so much time last season, I thought it might take a few games for him to get back into form, but his season opener should put those doubts to rest.

I only watched Utah and Sacramento, but I learned that Sacramento will bury you in 3 pointers if you leave them open for the entire first half of the game. Who knew?

I love this new Westbrook. Very efficient (good shot selection, never forcing any shot), calculated and looking to pass first even on situations he could have laid it in. And good to see him enjoying the game again, with fans appreciating him. I know it’s only 1 game, but this is also the same Russ since he moved to LAC
