Not specifically Gasol, they already won 22 games in Gasol’s last full season, and were not much better the next one. They traded him only a moment before his contract was expiring, on the trade deadline day, getting a return of Valanciunas, CJ Miles and Delon Wright - all experienced players.

Lakers. Lebron still has some value but it could disappear with any new injury or a probable steep decline at his age and AD has been proven to not be a true #1.

Even though the Bulls are a rebuild ticking time bomb, there is a lot of time before the trade deadline, and too many young players presently maturing and growing their game.

Like, we’ll end up trading Dosunmu, and then watch him suddenly become an All-Star on another team… Markkanen-style. or like Oladipo to the Pacers.

The only upside to the current trajectory of the Hawks is being able to retire Trae’s number when he retires.

    Trash it and start fresh

Any time this question gets asked it needs to ask who else besides the Bulls needs to blow it up.
