Maxey averaged around 25 PPG last year without Harden but his efficiency was down. The good news tonight is the fact he was efficient while continuing to take this heavy load as a playmaker and scorer. He’s not the most dynamic playmaker but was nice to see him in the two man game with Embiid and nice to see him be able to execute the correct read in the pick-and-roll. He’s incredibly dynamic going downhill and Maxey didn’t settle tonight, played with a ton of purpose. Absolutely a performance to build upon for Maxey.

And people wanna act like this dude is some scrub who can’t contribute lol. He’s probably the main reason I try to catch 76ers games. He’s really good and REALLY young too. Hope he can keep preforming at this lvl or even better!

I remember getting down voted into oblivion in a thread for ranking Maxey above Poole and Herro. He’s the only one of the 3 to possess an elite trait (speed), and has shown better, more consistent shooting while being the only one of the 3 to continuously improve. Felt like an easy call

Bingo. Good players simplify the game. Having something that is unique, applicable and spammable directly to impacting games is what’s most valuable. Maxeys speed gives offenses something they can’t
