This is a pretty selfless attitude in all hoesty but how does it affect his legacy?

Greatness used to be about leading a team, ‘driving the bus’ towards an NBA championship.

How would it have been received if Kobe said this about Pau when he joined the Lakers or if Steph said this when KD joined the Warriors?

Fair play to Giannis, he just wants to win, although I do find it interesting when he says “For him to feel successful, he gotta feel very comfortable”. Sounds like it’s Dame who feels he needs to be the leader and Giannis has sacrificed his position for it to work.

“This is a pretty selfless attitude in all hoesty but how does it affect his legacy?” Nothing. Giannis already won as a bus driver. Even Kobe won few championship as a bus rider to Shaq’s. Kareem with Magic and etc.

I don’t think it’ll affect his legacy much, tbh. He says it’s Dame’s team, but people still see the Bucks as Giannis’. Like he said, I think he just wants to make Dame feel comfortable in his position but we all know who’s really driving the bus.

tbf, Giannis has proven he can be the one “driving the buss”

i think if he wins, the legacy will take care of itself

I have to be honest man I dont think Dame is happy with this partnership he wanted to be with Bam his BFF win or lose…it’s just in his eyes i can see the truth

Giannis is the BEST partner he can have but the truth is deep down he only wanted Miami

Dame is like the girl who married the guy with a good job who’s loving and caring and will treat her like a Queen and she loves him for this but deep down she doesn’t love him like her ex-boyfriend her one real love the passion just isnt there with this responsible guy she married.

Dame is Rose Dawson from the movie Titanic he wants Jack (Miami) but that cant happen Jack (Miami) is dead that ship has sailed

Now Dame can have a long happy life with this new partner (like Rose did) but he’ll always dream about what might have been with Jack/Miami

Him being selfless is clearly why he’s saying this, but not only is Giannis a better player but he’s also a better player than Dame

Giannis might be the overall best player on his team, but he doesn’t have the ability to win in the playoffs consistently. Quite frankly, Giannis got lucky that one time he won the championship. Dame doesn’t have a lot of playoff success either, but he can close games much better than Giannis can. This should not be a Batman-Robin relationship. It’s more like an equal partnership between these two. They both need each other to win the championship.
