“He’s caught with a gun, he gets suspended and then, less than two months later, he gets filmed again on Instagram with a gun and you’re like, ‘Kid can’t be that stupid,’” said Barkley.

“[The] kid is getting paid close to $100 million and the only thing you have to do is don’t be a fool. Just play basketball. Ain‘t like it’s a real job.

“We’re not like teachers. We’re not like firemen. We’re not like policemen. We’re not somebody who’s in the service. We’re not a doctor. Those are five real jobs.

“Real jobs [with] people who will never make a lot of money and all you have to do is dribble a stupid basketball and stay out of trouble.”

He won’t just wake up one morning and decide to not be foolish anymore, anymore than he’ll wake up and not be an alcoholic.

It’s literally like 5 months later. Barkley gets his rocks off talking shit about players today like he wasn’t throwing accountants through windows when he played. Fucking hypocrite. But he shucks and jives now so everyone just eats it up

There are those who get infinite chances and those who get punished for every little thing. Think house m.d. or sherlock holmes, guy had so much talent people excused his addiction and assholery.

And then he never did it again. That’s what he has issues with. Ja is allowed to make mistakes, what he shouldn’t do is repeat them, over and over again.

Dude is 24 and has threatened people on multiple occasions. Part of the reason why he doesn’t mature is because y’all just give him every excuse in the book.

But Chuck, do you even know how hard it is to not flex guns online? Homie went to rehab for that. It’s some serious shit.

What does ‘caught with a gun’ even mean? I don’t believe he was charged with anything. This is just nonsense. Also police isn’t a real job either, basketball players contribute far more to society but that’s a whole different discussion.

I know Chuck is a reddit darling and that shit he pulled on Adam Silver was cool as fuck. And also fuck Ja’s stupid shit. But a lot of this reads like boomer shit.

I liked what Austin Reaves said about basketball players, paraphrasing here: “we essentially play a kid’s game and get paid a lot of money”
