Ben Simmons playstyle is almost exactly the same as Lonzo Ball’s playstyle minus the shooting. The Bulls played very well a couple years ago with Lonzo Ball playing as a pass-first point guard. If the Bulls really want to stick with their current team and not tank, I think they should trade for Ben Simmons as long as it involves expiring contracts or players the Bulls don’t really want to commit long term with.

Lonzo’s shooting is really fucking important though, especially for a team that doesn’t have great shooting already.

And even if they shot the same, their playstyles are not that similar. Ben’s value and only elite skill is being able to defend 4 (and at times 5) positions. They both can run an offense but that applies to like 50 other guys in the NBA as well. And the way they run an offense isn’t identical either. This entire post was off-base. They aren’t very similar.

No team should trade for Simmons. He is pretty clearly at this point the worst contract in the league.

No team should trade for Ben unless its a salary dump. The dude gets pulled in the 4th quarter and is on a giant contract.

Underselling a big part of Lonzo with the minus shooting part. That’s a pretty big deal.

As a bucks fan who endured decades of 8-12 seed finishes…yall need to unload assets (while they still have value) and start building a war chest of draft picks like OKC

It’s definitely a good fit if Lonzo won’t be coming back. It’s very nice to have someone that can help Vuc out with rebounding as well as get Lavine & DeMar open.

Ben had a good pre-season, last game wasn’t bad either. I’m hoping he gets a bit more warm. I wish his team wasn’t decent so he could actually try to score

Is Lonzo’s injury like, career ending-ish type? Then why would they trade for another guy to shrink the spacing even more with DeRozan as your 1st option?
