Some people have not done enough time in corporate world.

This leaves the door wide open for a trade. “No plans to” in place of “not”

It’s all fun and games until two hours before the deadline we see breaking news: “The Philadelphia Eagles have traded their 2029 7th round pick to the Tennessee Titans for Derrick Henry and Deandre Hopkins.”

Goodell would think about a veto for about 5 seconds before falling back asleep on his pile of money

Says everyone right before they make huge trades, so that they can go “this was never a part of our plans, fanbase… don’t be upset with us, the deal was too good!”

That being said, please keep him in TN because the last thing we need is a ravens team with Henry there.

He’s a lot more valuable to the titans than he is to other teams. Because of scheme and because of history. He’s literally our best player in franchise history and that means something beyond business. Plus he’s still got some juice. I wouldn’t be surprised if they sign him to another extension after this season.

I feel like this is all posturing so on Tuesday they can say they had no plans to trade him but X team made an offer too good to refuse.

I think teams don’t want to trade for him and then have to negotiate an extension, which would give Henry a lot of leverage because his contract is up.

I think teams would rather target him as a free agent so they don’t risk overpaying and don’t have to trade anything for the privilege of negotiating
