So yeah, a stupid mistake happened… I had my Fosstodon account, that I created with some stupid handle. Recently I wanted to return to Mastodon, see what has changed, and this handle annoyed me. Since I had nothing there, except for a few accounts I followed, I downloaded my data and thought, I just delete my account and create new one. And I didn’t check, that Fosstodon is now invite-only… So I don’t have account and I cannot create one without invite… I know, I can go to Mastodon.social, but Fosstodon resonates with me the most. Soooo… Can somebody dm me an invite? Would REALLY appreciate that…

I can’t, but if you email the instance admin and explain your situation, (especially if you can prove you owned the previous account,) they might be able to give you an invite.
Asking publicly for invites is essentially trying to bypass the invite process, so not the right move.
Have you tried contacting Fosstodon admins?
Huh… Never thought of contacting admins, I forgot they are not some giant corporation. I can prove I owned the old account so maybe it’ll work. Thanks!
