Imagine a hypothetical CL semi-final game between two sides comprised of these players:

La Liga Star XI: Casillas, Alves, Puyol, Ramos, Carlos, Zidane, Iniesta, Xavi, Ronaldo, Suarez and Messi.

Bench: Koeman, Marcelo, Modric, Kroos, Busquets, Neymar, Bale, Benzema, R9.

VS

Premier League Star XI: Cech, Walker, Terry, Ferdinand, Cole, Gerrard, Lampard, De Bruyne, Henry, Shearer, Salah.

Bench: Schmeichel, Van Dijk, Vidic, Neville, Scholes, Viera, Rooney, Hazard, Van Persie.

Imagine first leg being at Anfield and the second leg at Santiago Bernabeu. What would be the aggregate scoreline?

Vieira should already be in ahead of Lampard. Not an out and out DM, but he’d definitely do the job.

La Liga could only be challenged by Serie A. I would say the premier league has the weakest all time of the top leagues.

Why does 1 team have a sub keeper and 1 don’t?

Prem got a more balanced team tbh. Who’s actually gonna track back in the midfield from la liga.

Would still tip la liga to win but it wouldn’t be an absoutle battering.

Xavi and Busquets are non-negotiable. You can then decide between Zidane and Iniesta.

Xavi and busquets are non-negotiable but not Zidane who isn’t just one of the best midfielders of all time but is also considered a top 10 player ever?

Depends which leagues rules they play by.

Defense is a hell of a lot better in the EPL and physically much tougher and faster

La Liga they have more time with the ball and you get touched its a foul.

La liga has the more skilled players for sure though

Salah vs Ronaldo/Messi/Suarez is funny. Like Suarez has more talent in his left nail compared to Salah…and I like Salah kinda.

La liga crushes premier league squad by miles. This is also assuming they have coaches who would atleast change some of midfielders so that dms are there. However messi and ronaldo at peak with xavi feeding them, i dont think anyone can take on them
