obviously nothing about this scenario is funny, but the complete lack of success to this kidnapping is at least a silver lining. Horrible couple of idiots. Reminds me of that Adam Rowe bit about the suicide bomber in Liverpool who harmed nobody but himself and only caused like £150 worth of damage to a taxi with nobody in it

That’s good news. I’m glad they’re both safe and out of harms way.

I want real confirmation before I get too excited. The only news I see is unconfirmed and from the shit rags. But please, let this be true…

You never want this (the kidnapping) to happen to anyone.

I am glad that both of Luis Diaz’s parents are found safe.

That’s a hell of a turnaround if true and obviously great work by the authorities to free them both. I just hope that it is true and that no one else innocent was caught up in this, injured or killed.

ridiculous 24 hours for the family. Saw someone on twitter say now that they’re safe Diaz can play today as if it’s not been the most psychologically draining day for him possible, our game kicks off in less than 3 hours ffs give the lad a minute. Delighted everything is okay with them.

He should’ve brought his family to England.

Gangs won’t miss a chance to extort a footballer of such profile.

you don’t ask your parents to leave their home, all they’re ever known to come with you to country they probably don’t speak its language

Maybe they didn’t want to come? I know a lot of people with parents living abroad in not so pristine conditions because they don’t want to leave their homeland, and who can blame them?

As for security maybe they thought they didn’t need it? If the mentality is the aforementioned, they surely think everybody’s their own and to be trusted.

You should delete this until it’s confirmed by legitimate sources, this isn’t celebrity gossip, we really should be careful not to boost false reports.
