At the moment, only admins can create new communities. I made it so because I wanted to avoid having communick members who are not well-aware about how the fediverse works and end up creating communities that duplicate others who are already available on other servers. For those cases, it will be better if we join the remote instances instead of fragmenting the conversation among different places.

With that said, is there any topic/theme/interest/hobby you have but haven’t found a place yet on the threadiverse? Is there some niche subreddit you participate but would like to migrate to Lemmy?

We could have one here and help to make it active. Since we are trying to make c/emacs active here, we could try the same thing for c/lisp.

Thanks! Yes, I’m happy to be a mod and do mod duties like remove spam (if any).

Ok, great! Due to a quirk in the UI, you need to write a post or comment in the community for me to add you as mod. Don’t feel pressured into it though. If you ever change your mind about it, you can always remove yourself.
