Lets be honest if they couldnt get out of the 2nd round with a prime ben simmons and a prime Harden who else is out there. They still have to get through the juggernauts of the east in the celtics and bucks. And playoff heat are no joke. Theres no one out there that can get them over the hump

Prime Ben Simmons was a hindrance for the Sixers in the Playoffs lmao

Pay Anunoby and Buddy Hield with the cap space and re-sign Oubre and Melton

Maxey Melton Hield Anunoby Embiid is a good lineup

Now that Harden and Simmons are gone there is nothing stopping Tobi Harris from thriving

I think it’s more Maxey thriving more without other ball dominant ball handlers. He runs a good 2 man game (DHO especially) with Embiid, and since now the ball comes back to Maxey, he uses his speed and can get in shooting rhythm.

May be too early, but Maxey is looking damn good so far.

Sixers do need another good wing or two.

Sixers still have one of the best players in the NBA. Hopefully he doesn’t get absolutely beat up in the First Round with an opponent that employs that strategy.

They also have Maxey who is becoming an absolute star. He is not the offensive liability that Simmons was. He isn’t the all around liability that Harden was.

Tobias Harris is a solid player that does anything needed. This trade will allow them to go after a player like LaVine.

And they have a great coach in Nurse.

Prime James Harden? That’s being generous.

Keep in mind the 76ers were minutes away from beating Boston in game 6 and going to the ECF.

They’ve also never faced the Bucks in the playoffs. The Bucks who have no perimeter defense to defend something like a combo of Maxey & LaVine. It’s within the realm of possibility that they can beat MIL in the 2nd round, if we finally get to see that matchup.

And keep in mind that Embiid has had major injuries the last three postseasons. If he finally gets one healthy run it’s a mistake to dismiss what a healthy Embiid could do combined with 2 other stars.
