As well all know, in his earlier years, LeBron was arguably the greatest defensive player in the NBA and possibly one of the greatest defensive peaks in NBA history.

Unfortunately, over the years his defensive ability has taken a lot of heat, due to his coasting throughout the regular season, and his “indifference” on the court sometimes. However, he has shown that when motivated and in the playoffs, he is willing to step up his defence.

In general, where does LeBron sit on the defensive ranking currently?

He’ll still be good on defense, but he’s not giving you consistent effort for an entire regular season game for sure.

Playoff games he will, but he’s only able to do so much while also being one of his team’s primary offensive players

I don’t think he was ever the best defensive player in the league. He was an elite on ball defender but not quite the best overall.

Now I don’t think he cracks the top 100, although when he tries he may be top 50 for a limited number of posesions
