McDaniels has a 20-33 record as head coach in the NFL and has never held a head coaching position longer than 2 years.

Yeah because him coming and running the team directly into the dirt would have been way less embarrassing. Really when you think about it it’s the Raiders who actually dodged the bullet. They should consider themselves lucky that McDaniels took the job.

Tbf Jay Cutler and Carr are both franchise QBs who also aren’t good enough to take a team to the next level.

I mean, they were miles ahead of who they got replaced by (Cutler > Orton, Carr > Stidham/Garropolo).

Why not try to scheme for them instead of throwing them away? Look at Daniel Jones once Daboll came, Jared Goff once Sean McVay arrived, Alex Smith once Harbaugh/Andy Reid got a hold of them.

The issue was what he replaced those guys with. It’s perfectly fine to believe Jay Cutler and Derek Carr aren’t the QBs to take your team where you want to go.

McDaniels (and potentially Reich) are setting back second stint coaches a decade this year.

I never understand when teams bring in Intrim coaches and they do really well and don’t give them a chance. The Browns were on fire under Greg Williams and Freddy as DC. But they dump Greg for Freddy and that was terrible

It’s the one thing Bronco and Raider fans can agree on, hating Josh McDaniels.

Let’s hope this puts a nail in his HC career. I would wish him to the Chiefs even. His concepts and schemes are some of the worst football I’ve ever watched. I’m surprised the league didn’t find emails from him and force him out of the league. Glorious day Nation. ☠️🏈💪

What? If jimmy G isn’t awful yesterday you probably win the game with two touchdown to Adams.

He got fired because his decision making came into question when he brought in a QB worst than the last one in every conceivable way and the team no longer trusted him.

His offense worked fine, just completely fucked himself with his hubris moving off carr.

It’s great Carr had the last laugh in it but I wished we had him back to help with AOC or any other QB we may pick up.
I don’t want to reopen the whole Carr saga but we were much better off with him than we are even now. Thanks to McD we are in QB purgatory. We are stuck with a QB who knows a shitty system but can’t throw father than 20 yards and doesn’t mentor anyone. He barely talks or participates with the team. My hopes are under a new playbook/scheme the shackles will come off of our players and let them be players. There is a lot of talent in our WR room. Let’s let them elevate AOC and watch some good football. ☠️🏈💪

The Patriot Way is easy to commit to when you have Tom fucking Brady as your team’s QB. Guaranteed playoff run minimum, makes it easier to “commit” to a dogma. Especially when he’s taking a salary cut (TB12 loophole), so that other guys will get paid more while being on a great team at the same time.

Tom Brady was essential to building and maintaining that culture of The Patriot Way imo.

They never paid other players more. Pats are almost always in the middle to lower part of the league in spending

You’re getting downvoted but you’re right, they were 26th in total spending during the Brady years. Never take a pay cut to help your boss

When will owners and GMs understand recycled coaches just will not work. Why hire a fired guy for being bad and expecting a different outcome?

Good fucking riddance. That was the most boring and bland football I’ve seen in a long time (and I’ve seen tons of shit Raider teams).

And now we don’t have to see his douchy, punchable face everytime Jimmy G air mails a pass in to the fucking benches.

And speaking of Jimmy G, if he can’t get anything going by the end of the 1st quarter, he can join McDaniels in fucking off.

I don’t have high hopes for AOC, but let’s see what the kid can do, with practice reps with the first team
