If you look at different timescales, you’ll always see some dips and bumps, and over long enough timescales it’ll always be up. You need to pick the timescales that make sense for what you’re trying to discuss.

There are up days even in a depression. You have to look at trends over months (at the least)
Both the Dow & S&P are down around 8% from this time last month. Dow’s down 7 YTD, and S&pis down 10. Green today, red for the year so far.
And it’s not like we don’t know what caused it.
