I’m technical, I just simply don’t have to time to completely work on my app idea.
I have a wireframe, requirements, and designs complete. It’s pretty simple and can exist as a web based application for now.
Considering I have all of this, but I don’t want to go in and code it all, how much should I expect to pay someone off fiverr?
Think web based app, cloud hosted, a database; some storage, cloud functions, security, Active Directory, and that’s literally it.
I was thinking 2 devs, front end/UX and back end, paying $5k each; expect a delivery or working product in 15-30 days (the app is terribly simple). Is that too high or too low?
Thoughts?
Thanks
PM me. I can do full stack front and back.
I’ll do it for 8k
I think your budget is reasonable, but your time expectation is not.
I’ve hired many freelancers and their projects tend to take longer than expected. They’ll do something, ask you to test, you’ll find errors or code quality problems, they’ll fix and repeat. You can get good quality work out of freelancers if you are patient, but if you are in a hurry, you’ll be disappointed.
If you are in a hurry, it is better to do it yourself with ChatGPT’s help. Getting code that you can test within milliseconds instead of weeks, makes ChatGPT much better than a freelancer.
If you really want to use a freelancer and want it done fast, then you’ll probably need to pay the freelancer per hour and will have to budget $50 per hour or more.
Software engineer here! If you are interested we can organize a meeting to talk about your idea, after which I can give you estimate on how much time and money it would take for my team to do build it.
Don’t think of developing whole backend yourself. Just leverage what is already available out of box from firebase or aws
Focus on UI/UX
Are you planning to build just web app ? Budget is decent considering your high level requirement
Your budget appears to be reasonable for a simple app. Simply ensure that the developers have the necessary skills.
5k$/per month is a pretty good price for senior developers from some non english speaking countries, although it may fall a bit short for even Semi-Senior US programmers.
At OpenScreens IT we offer nearshoring,(hiring from another country with a similar timezone), where the startup hires us to provide high quality talent, and work around communication issues by having a bilingual Project Manager as a main point of contact to communicate the requirements to and receive progress updates from the developers.
In addition by having a PM effectively working on your project part time, you increase the success odds of your project.
If you would be interested in something like this, feel free to setup a meeting with us, you can use the following link: https://openscreensit.com/schedule
Honestly man keep the money , take your family on a nice vacation abs chill … if you don’t have time to code you probably don’t have time to market it :-)
