I remember jumping off a bench and swinging off of a soccer net in middle school. It was the middle of winter and I didn’t have leather gloves or something grippy, just fabric gloves of some kind. Slipped off the net at the apex of the swing and landed hard on my back on the grass. That hurt badly enough, falling from the height of a net onto you back on a basketball court seems like a good way to end your career
