It’s almost as if the Zebras just wanna ruin the fun. Imagine if this was the first time a kid was able to see Giannis in person? All that time, money, and effort to see your favorite player just for them to get the boot.

To eject Giannis over that, but a few days ago Draymond Green is allowed to run and yell at refs for 45 seconds and gets no tech for it is just a gross display of abusive power.

Hot Take! Officials should be ejecting *more* players for complaining about calls, especially early on in the season.

That said, taunting should be 100% legal in the NBA. These are pros, man up and play better if you don’t want a guy to dunk in your face and flex on you.

No more technicals for taunting, lots more technicals for players & coaches demonstrably bitching about the officiating. If you think it’s a bad call, [challenge it…aight!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6jjmF2ySt0&t=3s&ab\_channel=TrOllinM4sTEr)

Fighting leads to fights. These are grown men paid millions. If they jeopardize their career over being a tough guy, that’s on them.

They can’t have something that might lead to fights. It’s not like hockey where everyone is padded up and the fans are separated from the action. Malice at the Palace showed the danger of a heated engagement escalating with potentially dangerous outcomes for fans, athletes, and staff.

I mean in football they don’t let people taunt and the game revolves around hits. Pretty dumb that when Tyreek Hill runs to the endzone, him giving a peace sign will get him an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

Taunting is poor sportsmanship and leads to fights every time. He’s inches away from the dudes face.

Taunting should not be allowed. It only escalates things and games can easily get out of hand and fights break out. Then people blame the refs for “Not controlling the situation”. Also, whether adult fans like it or not, young players watch these games and are heavily influenced by what they see. If we allow taunting, we’re going to see way more taunting in lower levels of play, which is unacceptable. It is objectively bad sportsmanship which cannot be allowed at lower levels.

Yes, taunting can be entertaining, but simply cannot be allowed for many reasons.

Whether you agree that taunting should be legal or not… Giannis was already on a tech and the league sent out a memo saying this particular type of move after a Dunk would be enforced. Why even give the ref the opportunity? He taunted, it’s clear as day per the league office’s memo.

There’s a reason you t up a taunt, especially when its something like Giannis bowing up/flexing on a guy. If you don’t call it there, the same people calling the league soft for this, will be complaining that the refs lost control when there is a hard foul the other direction in retaliation.

Taunting would 100% lead to thrown fists and we don’t need that. But the level of censure right now is ridiculous

I don’t think we should have game changing fouls in professional sports called because we are worried someone is getting their feelings hurt.

That wasn’t anything that would lead to an issue. It’s one thing to get in a guys face, but he quickly looked away and made the little guy move.
