Genuine question - Will the lack of defense hidder Kyrie’s and Luka’s all time legacy standings?

Both amazing players in their own rights but i have always thought that this part of their game lets them down. Most all time greats have above average defense and i can’t really think of anyone who’s considered a great but had lazy defense. Pistol Pete? Steve Nash? Curry maybe?

From what I saw during that game Luka can play good D when he wants to. I think his offensive load is still so large that he just doesn’t have the energy to play hard defense for a full game. You can see his conditioning has definitely improved from last year. I think over the course of this season, with Kyrie helping on offense and Lively anchoring the defense, that Luka’s defensive stats will be much improved over last season

Everyone gets scored on in the NBA, even prime Kawhi. Op is dumbass with the “will Dennis Schroeder scoring on luka one time affect his legacy” bs

Given that Luka and Irving rarely put effort in on the defensive end, Dennis could have strolled on by with a Latte in one hand and the ball in the other while Luka and Irving look at eachother twiddling their thumbs waiting for their chance on offense.
