i can’t figure out why my energy usage keeps going up at night. i work from home so all day my usage should be higher than at night you would think. but somehow my smart meter is always showing higher usage at night sometimes double. and i don’t do anything at night just hangout and read or play video games. is someone stealing electricity? i don’t want to jump to that but it really doesn’t make sense the usage was higher even in months where i didn’t need heat/ac
will smart plugs on my playstation/entertainment center/tv be helpful?(i keep my tv on all day most days while i work for background noise so really this shouldn’t be a factor either)
Can you share some numbers? It’s hard to know how to help if we don’t know how much power we are talking about.
When do you do your laundry and run your dish washer?
Lights are on at night, not during the day
Smart plus ironically have phantom draw, though.
You’re good though, if your smart plug has less phantom draw than the thing you’re trying to stop the phantom draw from.
